SmartVap™ is a stand-alone electronic vaporizer for the delivery of the volatile anaesthetic agent Desflurane. Current equipment has evolved from earlier examples which were uncalibrated, and whose output varied greatly with ambient temperature and gas flow rates.
Vaporizers allow a known and reproducible concentration of anaesthetic vapour to be delivered in a safe and reliable manner.
SmartVap™ is a cooperation project between Piramal Critical Care (PCC) and Technologie Institut Medizin GmbH (TIM). This unique electronical vaporizer perfectly works in combination with PCC Des-Fill bottles.
